The antioxidants are the vital source for increasing insulin levels in the body and are adequate in fiber. As the cherries offer fewer calories they help in controlling blood glucose levels. Even if they are consumed in high amounts they will not result in weight gain and also maintains cholesterol and triglyceride levels for these good qualities cherries are highly recommended in diabetic diet plans.

Grapefruit: Grape fruit is a citrus fruit and is a best form of diabetic low carb diet that is surplus in nutrients and vitamins and burn body fat to a greater extent. Grape fruit has low glycemic content that will simplify the digestion process and facilitate the body to remove toxins. The Vitamin C, pectin fiber and lycopene antioxidant help in reducing glucose levels. Eating these fruits regularly will ensure proper blood sugars in diabetic patients.

There are some other fruits for diabetes like peaches, apples, jambul or jamun that are beneficial in controlling or lowering blood sugars. Diabetic persons must be keen to the size and quantity of fruit that they eat, as excess quantity will lead to disaster.
